COOLING

During the summer months fluid dissipates heat from the house to the ground, then before returning to the home, the fluid is cooled by relatively constant ground temperatures (50–55° in Iowa). The cold from the fluid is converted to cool air by circulating it through water-to-refrigerant and refrigerant-to-air heat exchanges (similar to a car radiator.

HEATING

During the winter months fluid dissipates cool from the house to the ground, then before returning to the home, the fluid is warmed by relatively constant ground temperatures. Even when the temperature dips below freezing, a heat pump can extract heat from the ground and use it to warm your home. The warmth from the fluid is converted to hot air by circulating it through the water-to-refrigerant and refrigerant-to-air heat exchangers (similar to a car radiator).

HORIZONAL 3 LOOP SYSTEM

If adequate land is available, horizontal loops can be installed. Holes are horizontally bored out 200 ft. in length and 15-45 ft. depth, per ton of capacity. U-shaped loops of pipe are pulled back into holes. Read More >

VERTICAL 3 LOOP SYSTEM

If land area is limited, vertical loops can be installed. Holes are drilled at a depth of 175 ft., per ton of capacity. U-shaped loops of pipe are installed into the holes. Read More >
